TMS Therapy is the right choice
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) uses a targeted pulsed magnetic field, similar to what is used in an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machine. While the patient is awake and alert, NeuroStar TMS Therapy stimulates areas of the brain that are underactive in depression.

Does TMS work?
In our clinic, we have an 84% response rate and 60% remission rate. In research studies, TMS improved depression by at least 50% in two-thirds of patients and resulted in complete remission in one-third of patients. There is never a guarantee that TMS or any other treatment will work for you but the odds are good that it will!

Is it safe?
Yes. TMS is FDA approved, and generally well tolerated by patients. Very few side effects have been reported with TMS Therapy. Over 10,000 active treatments were performed across all NeuroStar clinical trials demonstrating its safety.

Will it last?
In research studies the majority of patients maintained their treatment response 12 months after treatment.

Does insurance cover TMS?
YES! All major commercial payers cover TMS including Tricare. There are specific criteria a patient is required to meet for approval but most patients with chronic depression meet these criteria. Our reimbursement team specializes in understanding the ins and outs of getting approval for TMS. We advocate on your behalf to make sure your insurance company covers the costs.
