“I strive to be fully present with each patient, take the time to listen, and help foster a sense of safety where healing can begin.”
Faith Purvis, DNP, PMHNP, FNP
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Faith Purvis brings a deeply integrative lens to psychiatric care. As a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she has completed advanced training in treating psychiatric conditions while building upon her knowledge of how interconnected physical, mental, and emotional health are.
After starting her career as a registered nurse in 2010, Faith specialized in public and community health nursing before completing her graduate studies first as a Family Nurse Practitioner and then as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Grounded in a rich foundation of caring for diverse individuals across the lifespan, she meets people where they are and brings a relational, compassionate, person-centered approach to her psychiatric practice. She integrates evidence-based medication management with supportive psychotherapy, taking into account each individual’s needs and goals for treatment.
Inspired by the concept of unconditional positive regard, Faith strives to be fully present with each patient, take the time to listen, and help foster a sense of safety where healing can begin.
